Pre-select heroes to avoid counter-picks & spam heroes

Currently, many 1v1 games on FirstBlood are over before they start as the second player to pick can easily counter-pick the first.
This leads to the unfortunate scenario of each player waiting until the absolute last second to pick their hero, forcing them to forfeit gold and waste time rather than be counter-picked by the other player.
Users should have to pre-select a hero on the FirstBlood app. Once both players have locked in a hero, their choices should be revealed and they should be sent and in-game lobby invite. In the Dota 2 hero select screen, users can then lock in their hero straight away, without fear of being counter-picked.
If a user locks in a hero other than the one they selected in the FirstBlood app, they should automatically lose the game on FirstBlood.

GREAT idea! Or maybe it can simply "hide" the selected hero until the game starts, or something for example a palette of these selections could be pre-select. So there could be 3 different 1v1:
1.: Visible Preselect
2.: UNvisible preselect
3.: NO preselect

+ For GOD sake, please make options for REAL 1v1 too (not just 1v1 what can be won by killing 2 times the other hero, or just destroying JUST 1 tower!!) The REAL 1v1 is where one destroyes the ANCIENT of the other player! And creeps also should be on all 3 lanes OR please make optional selections for these too, so:
- 1v1 where 2 kills or 1 tower destroyer wins
- REAL 1v1 where ONLY ancient destroying wins
+ please make options for these too:
- Creeps only on MID
- Creeps on ALL lanes
So before creating or joining into an 1v1 these should be choosable :)
+ A FREEly choosable stake in $-s also! Not only one fix 100 points! Or at least 5 options from that also, for example:
1$ = xy 1ST
5$ = xy 1ST
10$..

I like the idea of this sort of picking. Pre-Select sounds great ... however it would not help me personally since my opponents just check my profile and know I only play Techies :P

i recently played in dota-athletes, it is a site same as firstblood who gives prizes in playing dota2 and there is also a 1v1 mode there but when the players pick their hero, the enemy cannot see it.
i don't know how they did it but it can be an answer to counter picking
